The freshness of Alto Najerilla in symbiosis with the natural rhythms of the old vineyard

Mainly Viura, with occasional strains of Malvasia, Garnacha Blanca and Jaina.

Breeding
Half of the wine is aged for a year in a 5,000-litre oak vat and the other half spends a year in oak casks of different capacities (between five hundred and one thousand litres) in contact with the fine lees.
Vineyard
Old vineyards, with an average age of around 60 years (planted between 1915 and 1974) located in the towns of Cárdenas and Nájera. Ferrous clay soils with a high conglomerate rock component at their base. Around 600 meters above sea level.
Vintage
Manual harvest on September 7 and 8, 2022.
Elaboration
Maceration of the whole bunches for 24 hours. Subsequent maceration for six hours with the skins and pressing. Static settling by decanting and racking to eliminate the lees. Fermentation with the grape's native yeasts, at a low temperature (between 16 and 18 degrees). In the final part of the fermentation, the wine is transferred to a vat and oak casks with a capacity of five hundred to one thousand liters.
